Important Announcements !!
Urge Governor Cuomo to sign our
MAC Appeals bill into law TODAY!
PSSNY's leadership and lobbyist have met with the Governor's office to discuss the urgency and importance of this legislation, yet the bill is still not signed. Take 5 minutes out of your busy day to protect the future of your profession, by writing a compelling letter of support for this MAC Appeals law. The goal is to have letters postmarked from many regions of New York with individual messages on different letterheads. Here is a format to consider:
RE: S3346-B: An Act to Amend the Public Health Law in Relation to Pharmacy Benefit Managers
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
Albany, NY 12224
First paragraph - Introduction. Describe the person or business writing the letter and the reason for writing about this issue.
Second paragraph - Give two or three good examples of generic drugs that have been paid below cost, what action was taken and the end result. Be sure to describe the medical condition the drug is used to treat and any impact on consumers.
Third paragraph - Explain how this bill would help if/when it is signed into law. Close with something along the lines of: For these reasons, I urge you to sign this bill into law.
WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO HELP COMPEL GOVERNOR CUOMO TO SIGN THE MAC APPEALS BILL INTO LAW!
